Main Job Purpose
The SAP Analyst is responsible for all material transfers and transactions in SAP. He/she ensures that all inbound, outbound, and within the factory material movements are captured and accordingly reflected. The SAP Analyst is also responsible to determine sources of material variances as identified in SAP.
Job Responsibilities
Safety, Health, and Environment
- Follows all SHE policies and procedures according to existing guidelines.
- Ensures that his/her work area is free of safety risks and/or hazards.
- Reports unsafe conditions and unsafe acts accordingly.
- Completely wears / uses prescribed PPEs.
- Follows prescribed work procedures and company safety rules / regulations.
Quality
- Follows all quality policies and procedures according to existing guidelines.
- Ensures that his/her work area is free of quality risks and/or hazards.
- Reports quality behavioral observations accordingly.
- Verifies inbound material quality conformance prior to SAP transaction.
- Adheres to guidelines on personal hygiene.
Operations
- Counter checks completeness of inbound delivery documents.
- Performs SAP transaction for inbound material deliveries.
- Performs semi-finished goods (SFG) confirmation for mixing operations.
- Reconciles weekly inventory balance in SAP vs actual count and identifies variance per material.
- Determines the source of variance from weekly inventory reconciliation.
- Creates weekly Physical Inventory Document (PID) based on the material reconciliation.
- Takes immediate corrective action for any error or trouble encountered in SAP while also reporting such occurrences to the First Line Manager or Production Manager.
- Closes off SAP COGI errors on a weekly basis.
- Determines the major drivers for variances identified in the quarterly wall to wall count.
- Raises Opportunities for Improvement (OFIs) and One Point Lessons (OPLs) as necessary.
- Actively uses applicable digital platforms (i.e., BuildApp, etc.)
- Maintains Good Housekeeping (GHK) in his/her respective areas.
- Mentors other potential SAP users and/or analysts.
- Performs other job-related functions that may be assigned by the First Line Manager or Production Manager.
Qualifications
- Technical Course Graduate related to Manufacturing, or College Graduate
- Has prior experience working with SAP or other similar software
- Must be a responsible, supportive, and reliable individual
- Must be a good team member capable of working within the highly effective team
- Can adequately communicate issues relating to safety, quality, and operations
- Can provide operational observations and inputs to support decision making
- Demonstrates working knowledge on how to identify, prioritize, and address problems using appropriate tools and techniques that eliminate recurrence
- Must demonstrate personal initiative
