Responsibilities

 

Prime Responsibilities

 

  1. Define the Project Plan and regularly update it with the support of the Project Control Manager
  2. Ensure deliverables are met within planned timelines and cost to meet the overall project profitability
  3. Ensure adherence to L&T corporate guidelines in the project 
  4. Identify the resources (people, material, tools and equipment) needed for the execution of the project 
  5. Define the Project Organogram & communicate roles & responsibilities to the entire team
  6. Organize internal kick-off meeting to brief project team regarding project scope & deliverables  
  7. Review and finalize the Execution Philosophy based on results of Site Survey 
  8. Manage and organise the resources (people, material, tools and equipment) needed for the execution of the project
  9. Risk Assessment on a monthly basis, identifying & implementing mitigation mechanisms.
  10. Regularly monitor and communicate to the SBU Head the performance (costs, revenues, payments, cash flows, KPIs, etc.) & status of the project  
  11. Manage the project changes (evaluating their feasibility, identifying the technical solution to implement and identifying the required resources) including the ones that can require a change order (to be discussed with the Client)
  12. Regularly monitor the adherence to the contractual clauses
  13. Ensure that safety regulations, quality standards and relative procedures and practices are met
  14. Support the Sales in the proposal development and in negotiating change order with the Client
  15. Verify and approve the purchase of materials and services used during the project within his/her limits of authorisation
  16. Review and approve the monthly Activity Schedules (as prepared by the Project Control Manager)
  17. Communicate/ discuss the updated resource requirement plan with the relevant resource departments on a periodic basis
  18. Provide clarifications to management on instances of budgetary non-compliance
  19. Identify reason for quantity variance, discuss the reason with the concerned department and forward the information as part of the monthly MIS
  20. Obtain Project Completion Certificate from Client after submitting documents to support project completion as per Contract

 

Shared cross-functionally

  1. Manage the relationship with all the parties involved in the project: external – Client, subcontractors, local authorities, institutions, etc. and internal – HSE&QM, Asset Management, Supply Chain, etc.
  2. Participate in client coordination and review meetings
  3. Review Weekly Project Progress Report along with the Project Control Manager, and provide feedback to respective personnel/partners
  4. Present Monthly Project Report to the SBU Head
  5. Raise invoice as per agreed schedule with the client
  6. Decide on extent of claims to be raised with the Client in consultation with the SBU Head
  7. Prepare the Project Closeout Report & present to the SBU & OD Head
