What’s The Role
The Energy Settlements Team sits within the Operations umbrella and is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the industry data across the gas and electricity portfolio.
Reporting into the Energy Settlements Manager, the Gas Settlements Analyst role, will have multiple performance and compliance targets to adhere to, attention to detail is of the highest importance. This is made more important by the ever-changing landscape of the industry and obligations on us as an energy provider.
You’ll be exposed to a diverse range of third-party partners, interacting & liaising with various appointed agents as well as the wider business areas. Playing an important role in the resolution of customer, agent & industry exceptions you will be a key part of the business.
As part of the Industry Operations team you will be working with industry dataflows, Industry read performance, Industry Settlements and Revenue Leakage. You will also liaise with our Registrations and Metering teams to ensure that end-to-end accountability of issues are met.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will be responsible for the following:
Management of Gas settlement processes such as read management to Industry, check reads, Industry Consumption, data alignment across SEUK systems and Industry.
Investigate & resolve a broad range of data issues relating to meter reads & consumption to identify mismatches between industry & billing data
Identify continuous improvement opportunities and drive to delivery
Ensure that processes adhere to compliance/governance to mitigate risk to the business and customer, and process documentation is regularly reviewed and updated.
Strong interpersonal & communication skills including the ability to translate complex gas industry processes to assist in positive customer outcomes.
Collaborate with colleagues & key stakeholders to resolve escalations
Support team members & management
Workload management ensuring workstreams are kept within SLA
What You Bring
We are keen to hear from candidates with years of relevant experience in the Gas settlements and/or read performance role. Besides that, we would like to see the following:
Insight & understanding of industry settlement performance processes & procedures
Knowledge & interpretation of commodity and non-commodity charges
Knowledge of gas metering processes
Working knowledge of key industry processes and systems including but not limited to registrations, meter read lifecycle, consumption adjustments.
Knowledge of principle Gas dataflows
Excellent verbal & written communication skills
Ability to work to a high level of accuracy
Demonstrable ability to prioritise & re-prioritise workload regularly
Strong IT and analytical skills
Ability to handle and manipulate large volumes of data accurately
Attention to detail & able to identify anomalies/exceptions
Optimise processes by applying a CI approach
Enthusiastic, motivated, ability to work as part of a team & willing to work outside of your comfort zone
