Your Team

You will manage a small team providing customs support excellence to all aspects of the boohoo group's supply chain. This includes guidance & support for B&M imports, retail goods, international customer parcels 
& returns.
Customs Duty Manager Role

The Customs Duty Manager at Boohoo plays a pivotal role ensuring compliance with international customs regulations and optimising duty costs.
• In-depth knowledge of global trade regulations.
• Tariff classifications.
• Customs Bonded Warehouse compliance management.
Responsibilities

The Customs Duty Manager will collaborate with teams to:
• Ensure accurate documentation.
• Minimise duty expenses.
• Facilitate smooth movement of goods across borders.
• Ensure Customs Bonded Warehouse compliance.
• Provide training and guidance on customs compliance and best practices.
• Identify opportunities to streamline customs procedures and enhance efficiency.
• Stay informed about emerging customs and trade regulations impacting the business.
• Prepare for and support customs audits, inspections, and verifications as needed.
• Collaborate with quality control teams for accurate product descriptions and classification.
• Communicate customs-related information to customer service teams.
• Identify potential customs-related risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Requirements
• Strong understanding of global customs regulations, trade agreements, and duty optimisation strategies.
• Previous experience in customs bonded warehousing, customs compliance, duty optimisation, and import/export operations within the fashion retail industry.
• Analytical skills for interpreting tariff schedules, trade agreements, and customs valuation methods.
• Detail-oriented mindset for accurate data entry and documentation preparation.
• Communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customs authorities.
• Strong organisational skills for managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
